Dan Burd has over 40 years’ experience representing banks, savings institutions and financial institution holding companies, and credit unions in a broad range of regulatory, corporate and securities matters.  He concentrates his practice in the areas of state and federal banking regulation, banking law compliance, mergers and acquisitions, de novo bank formations, holding company reorganizations, and corporate governance. Dan also represents financial institutions and individuals in regulatory and enforcement matters before the federal banking agencies.

 

Before entering private practice, Dan served as an attorney for the Legal Division of Federal Reserve Board (FRB) in Washington, DC.  Prior to joining Meeks, Butera & Israel, he was a partner specializing in bank regulatory matters for several national law firms.

 

Dan holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, and a Master of Arts degree (History) from University of California Los Angeles. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
